Had the opportunity to chase a couple of Snapper when in Adelaide for a Christmas/New Year break.
Headed out with Ben Knaggs from Salwater Fishing Magazine and my old man to Ardrossan which had been fishing well for Ben recently and produced my 12kg PB Snapper last year.
Colin from Reidys Lures had been good enough to supply me with a few of his Seabug jigs to give a run down Sth and as last year a jig accounted for my PB snapper and also weeded out the pickers I was keen to give them another run.
Whilst the big Snapper were not playing the game with only the one caught late on the piece on bait by my old man the jigs performed well accounting for a few nice Snapper.
These jigs have been performing well on many northern species and with broad range of weights and designs will be doing the same throughout the rest of the country once the word is out.
