My partner and I went out with Steve from ‘I’ll Take Ya’ Charters. We had an absolute ball! Steve was such a great guide, he made the trip, not to mention the Barra we caught!! We couldn’t have asked for better! Will be recommending him to others, Attached are some photos,

Just wanted to congratulate you both on a job well done.

For both me and my brother it was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had!

Despite the fact the fishing was really tough, the trip was everything and more of what we’d hoped for.

I wanted to also thank you for giving us a discount on the extra nights accommodation we hadn’t planned for.

My only regreat is that I can’t do it everyday of the week! I look forward to hearing from you again about a possible 4 day trip next year.

On behalf of our group I thank you ,Mark and Steve for an outstanding experience and great trip. I have been in the tourism industry for over 30 years( including as a tour operator and am a current board member of the National Tourism Alliance the industry national peak body) and have no hesitation in highly commending your operation for exceeding our expectations. The attention to detail  from our enquiry to arrival  by you and by Mark and Steve   for our enjoyment of our first barra fishing experience was complemented by them being great characters. This demonstrated guinine and unique professionalism.

The true test of our satisfaction is that we would like to book a return trip for the 2012 runoff. As  discussed with Mark we are open to you booking the best available dates for 4 days on the basis of pick up from the airport and return rather than accom in Darwin. We are happy to return to Point Stuart Lodge to fish the Mary river environs but are also open to other options. We enjoyed the fishing variety and environment and not just chasing the metre barra. So please pencil us in ( 6 pax definite, with the prospect of an additional 2 or 3) and I understand that a deposit will be required in July. If you could let me know options for dates and locations etc asap that would be appreciated so that we can lock it in our end.
Please let Mark and Steve know of our intention to return and our thanks for a terrific experience. As promised we will be sending them some photos.

A memorable days fishing

Hi Kurt

I was one of the four gentlemen you took fishing at Shady Camp last Saturday after you picked me up at Botanic Gardens Apartments.

I merely wish to say thank you for a memorable days fishing. You probably heard me say on the way out that I had been Barra fishing twice before and had caught one Barra. The total caught by all in the crews of those two trips was 2 only. On both previous occasions I felt unsafe in 12 foot dinghies which were impossible to stand up in because of fear of overbalancing. That is why I was really impressed with your rig. I think I noted it was 6.8 metres long with a beam I thought was possibly around 3 metres. A very,  very stable rig which we could all walk around in and feel comfortable.

You tried hard all day to find the fish by changing position to where the fish appeared on your sounder and the end result was 11 fish including 1x 82cm fish.

The food and drinks provided were first class and much more than adequate for my requirements.

All in all it was a memorable day and much appreciated by me. I was also lucky to get three other crew members whose company I enjoyed.

My dealings by email and phone with Mike in making my booking were also appreciated and deserve comment .

I have put Mike on this email too because we wanted to let him know what a great day we had with you and what a great guide you are.

We had a terrific time even without the fish ( but catching those Barra was just awesome)

I will recommend the trip to anyone who asks and probably lots that don’t.

How was your trip?

I thoroughly enjoyed myself over the 3 days fishing.

I can mark on the board another 2 species of fish to my bags.

Chris from River to Reef was awesome in all aspects of both days fishing on the Billabongs. The last day on the reefs was a little disappointing, but no man can make the fish bite.

I will be definitely doing this trip again next year. I would like to thank you personally for making the whole fishing trip a breeze with basically jumping into the car and going fishing without too much forethought. Till next time Mike, Cheers again.
