Looking for something different, an extra touch of excitement mixed in with your Top End fishing adventure?
This Darwin Heli Fishing Tour is for you.
When Heli Fishing Darwin you will experience approx 2 hours flying & around 6 hours fihsing, up to 5 locations. Flying to the Sth West of Darwin the habitats you will visit include floodplains, coastal creeks and estuaries of the Daly River and Anson Bay region. Where you visit on a particular day will depend on a range of factors including the season, weather / rainfall, tides, recent fishing success etc.
Departing around 8.15 am and returning around 4pm.
Catch rates varying with the seasons with Feb-early May being prime time that said these trips can still produce all year round.
Provided is all fishing gear, lunch’s, soft drinks and plenty of cool water. You will need to bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a camera.
With up to 2 hours scenic flying included in the day, you will witness some spectacular Top End landscapes along the way including extensive river systems, vast floodplains, wetlands, billabongs and long stretches of deserted white sandy beaches with abundant wildlife present for much of the year.
There are days it must be one of the most spectacular nature-based displays in Australia. We have watched dingos chasing pigs, large herds of water buffalo on the march, enormous crocodiles and sharks, all from the air. You might also see brolgas and jabiru stalking prey in the wetlands, and kites soaring on the thermals – definitely do not forget your camera (and a spare memory card or two).
